4-H AND OPEN LIVESTOCK SCHEDULE 2020

This year’s Livestock schedule will be as follows:

Showmanship schedule will go as follows: Seniors, Intermediates, and then Juniors.

 

Monday, August 3rd

Exhibitors are welcome to pen livestock before weigh-in starts barn gates will be unlocked at 8:00 am.

1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. …… Market livestock weigh-in

1:00 –3:00 p.m. …………… Market Hogs, wash rack by scales will be closed to washing of animals once we start weighing in Market Beef and remain close till after Market Beef are weighed.

3:00 – 6:00 p.m. ………….. Market Lambs, Market Goats, & Market Beef

6:30 p.m.  ………………….. Knowledge Test and Ice Cream Social

 

Tuesday, August 4th

8:30 a.m. …………………… Market Hogs

11:30 a.m. …………………. Market Lambs (tentative start time)

2:00 p.m. …………………..  Market Goats (tentative start time)

3:00 p.m. …………………… Market Beef (tentative start time)

Jr. Judging: 30 minutes after Market Beef

 

Wednesday, August 5th

8:30 a.m. ……………………. Swine Showmanship Lambs Showmanship following hogs.  Goat Showmanship following Lambs

3:00 p.m. ……………………. Market Beef Showmanship (tentative start time)

 

Thursday, August 6th

8:00 – 9:00 a.m. …………. Breakfast for supporters (FFA Chapters will be cooking)

9:00 a.m. ………………….. Jr. Market Livestock Sale (Hogs, Beef, Lambs, Goat)

 

Friday, August 7th

8:30 a.m. ……………….. Check-in for Breeding Sheep show

9:00 a.m. ……………….. Breeding Sheep Show (youth show)

11:00 a.m. ……………… Bucket calf class (calf classes for youth Kindergarten- 6th)

12:00 p.m. ……………… Heifer Show followed by Heifer Showmanship

2:00 p.m. ……………….. Poultry Youth Showmanship classes (open youth show)

 

Saturday, August 8th

9:30 a.m. ……………………. Goat Check-in

10:00 a.m. ………………….. Goat Show (youth show)


If you are a 4-H member you need to be registered on 4honline.com

FFA Members need to be approved by a FFA Advisor with enrollment completed by June 3, 2020

All Livestock entries must be entered by June 3, 2020.  Market Livestock entries will need a record book which will be due at the time of weigh-ins if they would like to participate in market round and the auction which can be found at extension.usu.edu.

In order to be ready for the Jr. Livestock Show and Open Shows follow the steps below:

1) 4H Members must be registered on  4honline.com.  If FFA Member, proceed to step 2.  If participating in open show proceed to step 3 then step 5.

2) Tag Animals.  Market Beef by April 25, 2020. Market Lambs and Hogs by June 3, 2020.

3) Register open, 4-H and FFA animal(s) by June 3, 2020. at Duchesnecountyfair.fairentry.com

4) Work on entering information into your Record Book so that it is up to date and complete at the time of weigh-ins.

5) Check show schedule for dates and times of shows.

6) Have completed Record Book and Market Animals ready to weigh-in on August 3, 2020.
